Owl Cyber ​​Defense Announces Competitive Alien Army


Columbia, MD, Sept. 20, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Owl Cyber ​​Defense Solutions (Owl), the global market leader in hardware-enhanced cross-domain cybersecurity and data diode solutions, announced that the company is one of two to receive $249M competitive, multiple-award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts from the US Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The contracts will provide an exclusive and fair opportunity for each of the two awardees to perform Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS).

According to the official website of the Defense and Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), FMS is “a form of security assistance authorized by the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), such as than modified. [22 U.S.C. 2751, et. seq.] and a fundamental tool of American foreign policy. Under the AECA, the United States can sell defense products and services to foreign countries and international organizations when the President officially determines that doing so will enhance United States security and promote world peace.

MDA is the implementing agency for FMS CDS and this MAIDIQ award represents the first for the FMS CDS program. As part of the award, competitive solicitations will be sent to the two winners until the contract is fulfilled or the end of the five-year order period ending June 2, 2027.
