MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. Russia’s Tactical Missile Corporation is developing new maritime weapons, including a next-generation high-speed anti-ship missile with an extended strike range, Tactical Missile Corporation CEO Boris Obnosov told TASS on Monday. of the company’s 20th anniversary.

“Considerable attention is paid to the development of new anti-submarine missiles – the latest version APR-3ME is already at the stage of mass production. Moreover, the first batch of these missiles has already been delivered. Eventually it will be replaced by a small air-launched anti-submarine torpedo that will provide increased operational range,” the chief executive said.

Work is also continuing to create new anti-ship weapons, he said.

“In particular, we are developing a next-generation high-speed anti-ship missile with increased range and flight speed and also with improved jamming resistance capability. Work is underway to upgrade the unique anti-ship -Paket-NK-E torpedo / anti-submarine system. We are considering the possibility of mounting it on small displacement warships,” he said.

The Russian Tactical Missile Corporation was established in March 2003 by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin on January 24, 2002. The company became the first integrated structure of the Russian defense industry which concentrated scientific and production resources for the development of advanced missiles and tactical missile systems.
